CHICAGO DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
DIVISION OF PLANNING & POLICY
Number of Positions: 3

Starting Salary: $16.60/hour

This position will be based out of CDOT''s Commissioner's Office and the Division of Planning and Policy (DPP); the Commissioner sets the strategic direction for the Department and DPP is responsible for long-range planning and policy development. You will work directly with the Commissioner and other senior staff to perform policy and program analysis, research emerging transportation issues, develop policy priorities, analyze and assist with CDOT's engagement program, and other tasks as directed.

Qualifications
Must be a student currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or law school OR a student currently enrolled in an accredited business or data processing/ information technology school.
Skills Desired - Research and writing; Project management; Quantitative and qualitative analysis related to transportation, urban planning, and/or public policy; Expertise with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint; Basic GIS analysis and mapping.
NOTE: At the time of application, you must attach a Resume, Current transcripts (unofficial transcripts are acceptable if the cumulative grade point average is reflected) and a Current Letter of Enrollment Verification from the School''s Registrar/Dean confirming current enrollment (or National Student Clearinghouse Proof of Enrollment Certificate) at the time of hire. You must be enrolled in school (with the exception of academic breaks) throughout your internship if you are selected.
