The Los Alamos Public School student intern program is meant to give students the opportunity to work in departments that offer them real experience in various fields, to include but not limited to facilities, human resources, business services, and technology.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with grounds, custodial, painting, and school upkeep for the summer. Be aware of Los Alamos Public Schools policies and procedures as instructed. Provide support to the assigned department staff. Work the requested schedule as directed by the department Director or Supervisor. Will work June 10, 2024 to July 26, 2024. Performs other duties as required.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Must be a High School Student

  • 16 years of age or older
  • A current student in good educational standing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality

EDUCATION AND OR EXPERIENCE

  • Current student in good standing

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret information from the interns department.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to learn mathematical skills as they pertain to the department.

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES

  • Willing to learn
  • Good attitude
  • Ability to learn or use technology that pertains to the department
  • Ability to keep items confidential
  • Strong oral and written skills
