OverviewChestnut Health Systems is offering a Practicum/Internship opportunity for master's-level students seeking hands‑on clinical experience in substance use and behavioral health treatment. This placement provides direct experience working with adults in residential and intensive outpatient programs, with opportunities to engage across a variety of populations including children (age 5+), adolescents, adults, and seniors. Chestnut also conducts research and training throughout the U.S.A.ResponsibilitiesProvide individual, group, and family counseling under supervisionFacilitate or co‑facilitate psychoeducational and skills‑based groupsComplete assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, and assist with treatment planningParticipate in client intake, case management, discharge planning, and referral servicesSupport crisis intervention and provide linkage to community resourcesDeliver services in residential and outpatient treatment settingsDocument services in a timely and professional manner using electronic systemsCollaborate with multidisciplinary team members and participate in team meetingsEngage in regular supervision and apply feedback to clinical practiceParticipate in program development, evaluation, and training opportunitiesGain exposure to macro‑level work including administration, policy, advocacy, and researchWork with diverse populations across areas such as substance use, mental health, housing/homelessness, public health, and criminal justiceMaintain professionalism, responsibility, and openness to feedback in all aspects of the internshipFollow all program guidelines, including no client transportationQualificationsMust be a second‑year master's student in a Clinical‑Counseling or related programBasic computer skills requiredAbility to demonstrate professionalism, responsibility, and willingness to learnWillingness to participate in direct care activities after completing required trainingsAbility to engage in supervision and incorporate feedback into practiceSome evening availability may be required#J-18808-Ljbffr
