Student Interventionist Teacher (St. Wendel - Wadesville, IN)

Saint Wendel is searching for a student interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year in 2nd grade. The primary responsibilities would be:

• Provide individualized (1:1) support throughout the school day based on the student's specific learning and behavioral needs
• Implement teacher-directed instruction and adapt materials to support student understanding
• Support the student in maintaining focus, completing tasks, and engaging appropriately in classroom activities
• Carry out individualized intervention plans, accommodations, and behavior support strategies
• Collect and document data on student progress, behavior, and skill development
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, intervention staff, administration, and specialists to ensure consistency of support
• Assist the student with transitions, organization, and daily routines
• Foster social skills and positive peer interactions
• Maintain clear, respectful communication with school staff and families as directed
• Promote the student's independence while providing appropriate levels of support
• Model patience, compassion, and Christian values in all interactions

Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred (associate's degree or relevant experience considered); Experience working with children with academic, behavioral, or developmental needs
