Saint Wendel is searching for a student interventionist for the 2026-2027 school year in 2nd grade. The primary responsibilities would be:
Provide individualized (1:1) support throughout the school day based on the student's specific learning and behavioral needs
Implement teacher-directed instruction and adapt materials to support student understanding
Support the student in maintaining focus, completing tasks, and engaging appropriately in classroom activities
Carry out individualized intervention plans, accommodations, and behavior support strategies
Collect and document data on student progress, behavior, and skill development
Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, intervention staff, administration, and specialists to ensure consistency of support
Assist the student with transitions, organization, and daily routines
Foster social skills and positive peer interactions
Maintain clear, respectful communication with school staff and families as directed
Promote the student's independence while providing appropriate levels of support
Model patience, compassion, and Christian values in all interactions
Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, or related field preferred (associate's degree or relevant experience considered); Experience working with children with academic, behavioral, or developmental needs
