JOB DESCRIPTION

Intramural Sports Official 1

Hourly Pay Rate: $11.00

The Intramural Sports Official 1 will support Campus Recreation in various administrative and operational tasks by assisting with the Intramural Sports program.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing a safe and fun atmosphere in a competitive environment
  • Implementing Intramural Sports policies and playing rules in order to maintain an appropriate level of control, fairness, and safety
  • Making quick decisions and keeping control of the game
  • Overseeing the Intramural Sports contest to ensure safety of all participants
  • Attending all in-service training, meetings, and office hours
  • Completing annual certifications
  • Assisting in setting up equipment for the evening and/or weekend activities
  • Assisting with the roster sign-in, collecting student identification, and checking the Intramural Rosters to confirm player eligibility
  • Completing necessary post-game forms
  • Closing down activities and collecting equipment
  • Selecting, utilizing, cleaning, organizing, and repairing intramural sports equipment

Qualifications:

  • Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
  • A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
  • A CPR/FA/AED certification (potentially)
  • Previous experience in sports playing and/or officiating (potentially)
