Position Overview:

The TCNJ Chemistry Department is seeking a student worker for the position of Office Assistant reporting to the Chemistry Instrumentation Specialist.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Update Biovia Science Cloud Chemical Inventory
  • Update Asset Tiger Asset inventory
  • Produce "Right to Know" inventory
  • Calibrate chemistry instrumentation
  • Repair chemistry instrumentation
  • Perform preventative maintenance on chemistry instrumentation

Learning Objectives:

  • Improve problem solving skills
  • Develop advanced knowledge of chemical databases
  • Develop operation and repair skills for the chemistry instrumentation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chemistry Major or Minor
  • Completed Che 332 Organic Chemistry
  • Knowledge of Chemistry Instrumentation and Databases
  • Willingness to work with cryogenic liquids
