JOB DESCRIPTION

Laboratory Aide 2

Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00 - $20.00

The Laboratory Aide 2 will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. The Laboratory Aide 2 works within a laboratory and assists with the department's tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Maintaining, cleaning, and storing lab equipment
• Preparing solutions and samples for research purposes
• Assisting with safety paperwork
• Cleaning the laboratory
• Receiving packages
• Processing lab findings and data entry
• Compiling instrument usage records
• Interacting with researchers, test subjects, and/or patients
• Assisting with administrative day-to-day tasks

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
• Prior or active enrollment in a particular class or course of study (potentially)
• Relative, prior experience working in a laboratory (potentially)
• Another laboratory position (potentially)
