Job Summary
Responsible for ensuring the daily operations of the Student Life office run efficiently while delivering high-quality customer service to students, staff, and visitors. This position serves as a primary point of contact for the office and maintaining a welcoming, responsive, and supportive environment. This position proactively supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of Student Life programs, events, and services. This role requires strong initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate office and event needs to help create a positive student experience.
Essential Duties
Maintain front desk operations by keeping the office open and accessible, serving as a point of contact as needed, managing phones, emails, and walk-in inquiries, operating office systems including ID equipment, and delivering responsive, professional customer service.
Support the planning and execution of Student Life programs and events by helping coordinating logistics, preparing materials, assisting with setup and breakdown and providing on-site event support.
Provide administrative support by maintaining records, managing inventory, and ensuring office organization and functionality.
Assist with purchasing processes and budget management by tracking expenses, maintaining records, and supporting financial procedures.
Support outreach efforts by helping coordinate pop-up events across campus and proactively increasing student awareness of programs and services.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or GED. Degree requirement may be substituted with relevant and equivalent work experience.
One year experience working in customer service setting or relevant experience.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
One year experience working in education.
