The purpose of this role is to enhance our student's education and provide work experience to current students who are interested in media production. This role will be responsible for media production and live steaming of our fine arts performances. This assignment is being posted for College Place High School students at this time. The position is open until filled.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
YouTube Channel and Event Setup
Create and maintain the school's official YouTube channel for livestreaming.
Schedule livestream events ahead of time and publish event links for sharing.
Ensure each event has appropriate titles, descriptions, thumbnails, and tags.
Monitor YouTube's livestream health and adjust settings for optimal quality (resolution, latency, etc.).
Audio-Visual Equipment Setup
Set up and test microphones (wired and wireless) to capture stage audio, including vocals and instruments.
Arrange and configure cameras for optimal visual coverage of the performance area.
Position remote mics (e.g., boundary mics, shotgun mics) to suit the acoustics of the venue.
Monitor sound levels and video feeds to prevent distortion or dropouts.
Livestream Production & Operation
Operate broadcasting software or hardware (e.g., OBS Studio, ATEM switchers) to manage live feeds.
Switch camera angles as needed during performances.
Ensure stable internet connectivity and troubleshoot any livestream disruptions in real time.
Monitor livestream on a secondary device to check viewer experience.
Equipment Care and Maintenance
Inventory and store microphones, cameras, cables, and streaming hardware properly.
Perform regular maintenance checks and keep firmware/software up to date.
Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate supervisor.
Collaboration and Coordination
Work with music directors, drama teachers, and school administrators to understand production needs for each event.
Coordinate set-up times and rehearsal checks to avoid conflicts with performance schedules.
Attend planning meetings as needed to support upcoming events.
Post-Production and Content Management
Archive and organize recorded performances.
Upload and manage public or unlisted versions of performances on YouTube if required.
Add captions or basic editing as needed (intro/outro titles, trimming).
