Job Details:

Purpose:

The Student Occupancy Management Associate will provide staff coverage for the Housing & Dining housing office including: customer service, upkeep of the main lobby, and performing clerical and other tasks in support of the Res Life housing office.

Responsibilities

Administrative Support

  • Responsible for providing timely responses for the housing office email to the appropriate individual. Direct emails as appropriate.

  • Regularly print, scan, and copy documents.

  • Distribute mail and packages according to federal and university guidelines.

  • Use Microsoft Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, Teams) and the StarRez Occupancy Management system.

  • Distribute and log temporary parking permits for housing office guests.

  • Report maintenance concerns.

  • Participate in hiring and training for Occupancy Management staff.

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Customer Service

  • Assist visitors to the Housing office with housing questions. 

  • Escort visitors to meetings with UHD Leadership Team and Human Resources.

  • Respond to phone calls and voicemails from parents, students, and guests about University resources, residence halls and apartment housing through UHD.

  • Forward escalated calls and emails to appropriate staff and departments.

  • Assist the Outreach Manager with events and tours as needed.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ability to accurately perform clerical tasks.

  • Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and proactively

  • Ability to lift 10 pounds (mail, packages).

  • Must be available to start in Fall 2026 and have the availability to work at least 10 hours per week during our regular office hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. Hours and days may vary due to business needs

Compensation:

$13.00 per hour

Work Shift:

We are located in the Kinsolving Building at 200 West Dean Keeton St., and our work shift hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Selected students will work with their supervisor to determine their work schedule, including hours and days worked.
