Position Announcement

Utah Valley University is seeking a student to assist the department.

Summary of Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Load packages from the route shelf into the delivery vehicle.

• Check the Priority Shelf for Priority packages.

• Get the Scanner and sign in to SQBX (Located on the Charging Dock)

• Drive to the building location and park alongside the walkway. Never block entry walkways.

• Deliver packages to the green-labeled location, scan each item, and get a signature.

• Type in the name of the person signing for the packages.

• Maintain Fuel and Fluids in Delivery Vehicles. (Oil is to be checked each Friday before starting the Vehicle.)

• Report any problems with the Delivery vehicle to your supervisor.

• Other Duties AS Assigned.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications

• Must be a current UVU student.
• Must have a valid drivers license and pass the State Driving Test.
• Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs properly.
• Must be able to work Monday-Friday for at least a 4-hour block each day-maximum of 28 hrs. per week.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Knowledge of package distribution methodology.

• Ability to operate a range of motor transport vehicles to transport packages.

• Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work independently on a multitasking level and prioritize and follow projects through to completion.
