JOB DESCRIPTION

Research Aide 1

Hourly Pay Rate: $12.00

The Research Aide 1 will support the department/organization in various administrative and research tasks. This position deals directly with research (in or outside a laboratory).

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct participant recruitment activities for an ongoing obesity management research study in primary care clinics across Louisiana
  • Make recruitment phone calls to potential study participants using approved study protocols and scripts
  • Administer prescreening surveys to assess participant eligibility for study enrollment
  • Schedule screening visits and coordinate participant appointments with the research team
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment and screening activities
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with prospective participants and research staff
  • Support day-to-day operations of the research study in a fast-paced clinical research environment
  • Assist with additional research-related tasks as assigned by the study team
  • Work collaboratively with investigators and staff to support community-engaged obesity management research

Qualifications:

  • Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
  • A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
