Psychology Student Research Assistant working with Professor Christopher Hawk
Assist with human-subjects research, including:
Setting up lab space
Running participants through study protocols
Consolidating and organizing data
Compensating participants
Maintaining accurate records
Support background research efforts:
Conduct literature searches
Read, catalog, and store academic articles
Contribute to literature reviews and IRB applications
May assist with:
Developing study materials or stimuli
Coding and analyzing raw data
Other research-related tasks as needed
Work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Track and report hours worked accurately
Qualifications/Competencies
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Preferred:
Experience in R for data analysis
Experience with Python
Preferred:
Experience with literature reviews or data collection
Eligible for Federal Work Study, with an accepted FWS award

Wage Range:
Wage is based on Washington State's minimum wage requirements
$18.25 per hour
Working Conditions:
The usual and customary methods of performing the jobs functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching; and fine finger dexterity. May need to lift up to 25 lbs. Generally, the job requires 80% sitting, 10% walking, and 10% standing.
