Class DescriptionThis position will serve as the in-person service point of forstudents, providing comprehensive support across various campusservices, including but not limited to admissions, financial aid,registration, and student accounts. This role focuses on deliveringexceptional customer service and creating a seamless experience forstudents navigating essential and other college-related services.This position work with prospective, admitted, and current studentsto provide detailed information about and help with all studentservices processes from admission through enrollment and applyingfor graduation, ensuring a seamless and customer-service orientedexperience.Minimum RequirementsAssociate's degree or 60 transferrable college credits required.Bachelor's degree preferred. One (1) year of experience workingwith students or customers in a service-oriented environmentrequired, preferably in areas of higher education includingone-stop centers, enrollment services, admissions, financial aid,registrar's office, and bursar/student accounts.Positions are located on the Essex, Dundalk, and CatonsvillecampusesClass Specific Essential DutiesServe as the primary point of service for students, utilizingin-depth knowledge of admissions, bursars, registrar, and financialaid to provide accurate information and support.Assist prospective students with their admission applicationand resolving questions related to admissions, and their journeywith CCBC.Guide new admits through the enrollment process.Triage student questions to ensure advising appointments aren'tmade unnecessarily when a student's question can be resolved morequickly, and by assigning the right advisor and making anappointment when an advising appointment is needed. Ensure studentsare connected with their assigned academic advisor and makefollow-up appointments as needed.Ensure student's records are accurate and assisting them withupdating their records as needed.Checking students in for their appointments with other servicesin on campus.Utilizing the student information system, Ellucian Banner, tounderstand a student's financial aid status and assisting them withcompleting their financial aid processes and accepting awards.Educate students about the benefits and requirements forfederal and state financial aid and helping them apply for aid viathe FAFSA.Advise students of payment options and assisting them withpayment processes.Solving problems that the student has related to enrollment,payment, retention, and graduation processes.Navigate confidential student information across multiplesystems, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and privacystandards.Collaborate effectively with colleagues in Instruction, Student& Academic Affairs, Student Finance, and Enrollment Services,facilitating smooth interactions between students and otherdepartments to enhance service delivery.Document interactions with students accurately and thoroughly,maintaining records that of inquiries and responses provided.Escalate queries and concerns as necessary to ensure timelyresolution and effective support for students.Participate in software, process, and skill training andprofessional development. This includes, but is not limited tolocal, state, and federal compliance regulations.
