The Student Services Aide provides front‑line administrative and customer service support for the Student Services office. This role assists students, faculty, staff, and visitors while contributing to efficient office operations. The position also plays an active role in supporting new student orientation and other student‑focused programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Serve as a first point of contact by greeting and assisting students, visitors, faculty, and staff in person, by phone, and via email
Answer inquiries, provide general information, and refer individuals to appropriate offices or personnel
Perform clerical and administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, copying, scanning, and document preparation
Assist with scheduling appointments, meetings, and events
Assist with new student orientation, including check‑in, event setup, information distribution, and providing general support to new students and families
Maintain student records and handle information in compliance with FERPA and university confidentiality policies
Support daily office operations, special projects, and university events as assigned
Use standard office equipment and software, including computers, printers, and Microsoft Office applications
Minimum Qualifications
Must be currently enrolled as a student in good academic standing
High school diploma or GED
Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic computer proficiency
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional office environment
Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow university policies and procedures
