New Orleans Center for Creative Arts is a regional public, pre-professional arts training center that offers students intensive instruction in culinary arts, dance, media arts: filmmaking &audio production, music (classical, jazz, vocal), theatre arts (drama, musical theatre, theatre design), visual arts, and creative writing, while demanding simultaneous academic excellence.
The Administrative Coordinator is a key member of the student services team and interacts with students, staff, faculty, parents, and visitors daily! This position provides administrative support by assisting in the management of the workflow of information between the public and the Administrative Leadership Team in a dynamic and creative educational environment. This role is ideal for a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, customer-service focused, and enjoys working in a dynamic and creative educational environment dedicated to student success and artistic excellence.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in administrative services.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
Maintains an organized, professional and friendly office environment while supporting the policy and procedures of the institution.
Assists in maintaining workspace operations, including monitoring printers, postage meter and supplies as well as distributing incoming mail and packages and organizing outgoing mail and shipments.
Maintains confidentiality of all information encountered and disseminates information to the appropriate stakeholders for response.
Uses systems such as PowerSchool SIS, application software, enrollment software and Google Suites.
Maintains attendance recording and documentation per state and institution procedures.
Organizes, maintains and disseminates information related to enrollment.
Manages communications with all stakeholders including families, faculty/staff, vendors and external stakeholders.
Participates in First Aid and Medication Administration training and provides support in these areas to Health Services, as needed.
Maintains current and archived student records.
Provides assistance and support to Supervisor in problem solving, project planning and management, and development and execution of stated goals and objectives.
Position-Specific Details:
Appointment Type: Probational or Promotional
Work Schedule: This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
Additional Holidays and Leave: NOCCA is an arts-conservatory holiday. We recognize holidays that schools normally observe. Some examples of additional holiday days are the week of Mardi Gras, the week of Thanksgiving, and two weeks for Winter Break, which includes Christmas and New Year's Eve.
