Stanbridge University is seeking a student-centered, organized, and proactive Student Services Officer to support student success, engagement, and retention throughout the academic journey. This position serves as a key member of the Student Services team by building relationships with students, identifying barriers to success, coordinating intervention strategies, and connecting students with academic and campus resources. The ideal candidate is passionate about higher education, enjoys working directly with students, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment focused on student achievement.ResponsibilitiesSupport new student onboarding through orientation activities and transition initiativesConduct routine classroom visits to engage with students, monitor participation, and identify early indicators of academic or personal challengesMonitor attendance, academic progress, grades, and outstanding assignments utilizing university systemsProactively contact students by phone, email, text, or in person regarding attendance concerns, academic deficiencies, and retention initiativesCoordinate one-on-one student success meetings to develop individualized academic success plans and identify appropriate intervention strategiesRefer students to tutoring, academic support services, counseling resources, faculty, and other campus departments as appropriateMaintain accurate student records and documentation within the University\'s Student Information System (SIS) and other institutional databases while ensuring compliance with FERPA and university policiesDocument student interactions, outreach efforts, referrals, and follow-up activities in accordance with university policiesAssist with student incident reporting and investigations involving academic integrity, student conduct, bullying, and other behavioral concernsMaintain records and coordinate recognition programs including Dean\'s List and Perfect Attendance awardsCollaborate with faculty, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Admissions, and other university departments to support student persistence and graduationParticipate in weekly retention and student success meetings to review at-risk students and coordinate intervention effortsMaintain confidentiality of student records in compliance with FERPA and university policiesPerform other duties and special projects as assignedQualificationsRequiredAssociate\'s degree required; Bachelor\'s degree preferredTwo (2) years of administrative, student services, higher education, advising, customer service, or related experienceIntermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and TeamsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detailAbility to prioritize multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlinesDemonstrated professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment when working with confidential informationAbility to work independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team environmentPreferredMaster\'s degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Student Affairs, Education, or a related fieldPrevious experience supporting student retention, advising, student services, or student success initiatives within higher educationWorking knowledge of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and best practices for maintaining student confidentialityExperience working with Student Information Systems (SIS), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms, and/or Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as Anthology, CampusVue, Colleague, Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, or similar higher education technologiesCore CompetenciesStudent AdvocacyRelationship BuildingCommunicationOrganization and Time ManagementCritical Thinking and Problem SolvingConflict ResolutionCollaborationAdaptabilityProfessionalismAttention to DetailCompensation$23.00 - $26.00/hr.
