Position SummaryThe Student Service Specialist serves as the primary point of contact for the University Registrar's Office (URO). The role involves providing high‑quality customer service and knowledgeable support to students via telephone, email, and face‑to‑face interactions. Responsibilities include handling and resolving student inquiries, researching and evaluating relevant information, directing unresolved requests to appropriate resources, and following up on interactions related to enrollment verification, registration, and other constituent services. The position requires broad knowledge of university, state, and federal laws and regulations, including FERPA.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.Preferred QualificationsOne year of related experience in admissions, transfer, or student services within a college setting.Experience with student information systems, preferably Ellucian Banner.Knowledge of degree audit tracking and proficiency in MS Office Suite.Special Instructions to ApplicantsApplicants are required to upload a list of at least three (3) professional references that includes:Name,Company Name,Type of reference (Professional, Supervisor, Colleague, Academic, or Personal).
