This role facilitates Career and Technical Education (CTE) initiatives for the Dual Enrollment Department at Rio Salado College. The primary focus is on driving and tracking CTE student enrollment and success through outreach (phone, email, text, in person). They serve as a dedicated resource for prospective and current students, utilizing multiple communication channels and various softwares (SIS, Dynamic Forms, Google Workspace, MS Office, etc.) to guide them through the entire academic lifecyclefrom initial ID authentication and residency verification to academic planning and graduation. By identifying and resolving individual enrollment barriers, this position ensures a seamless transition for students and families as they navigate the complexities of college entry and completion. Beyond direct student support, this position is the point of contact between the department and its partner high schools, communicating with counselors, administrators, and instructors. This involves developing course lists, scheduling, planning, and carrying out enrollment events and presentations, tracking dual enrollment instructor certifications, third-party billing with school districts, and assisting with course alignment. Collaborating internally with departments like Student Business Services, Admissions and Records, Testing, and faculty to streamline administrative processes is essential. Data reporting, communication, presentation, and cross-departmental collaboration skills are essential to maintaining the integrity and growth of the colleges academic certificate pathways.
Essential Functions
40% - Performs and engages in high-touch outreach and recruitment activities for prospective and current students and families to overcome enrollment barriers using, phone, email, text communications and travel to partner High Schools. This includes admissions application, ID Authentication, Residency for tuition purposes, course placement, enrollment, payment, academic planning, certificate completion, and graduation.
25% - Establishes and maintains relationships with high school counselors, administrators, and CTE instructors at partners high schools (currently 15) to plan course lists, provide guidance for new instructors on dual enrollment certification, communicates updated information on the enrollment/payment process and certificate pathway requirements, plans enrollment events, provides and presents accurate reports of students throughout the student cycle, overcomes student enrollment barriers, assists with program retention, and plans annual update meetings with each school.
25% - Works across multiple departments within the college to accomplish ongoing tasks. These include working with Student Business Services (cashiers) to complete the third party billing process with multiple school districts, Admissions and Record Office to resolve any student issues and coordinates commencement/graduation of assigned students, Testing Department to coordinate Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), and faculty chairs on projects as needed such as adding new programs, updating existing programs, etc.
10% - Other office related duties as assigned including phone/office coverage, phone call projects, and data entry.
