Duties
? Guide the development and implement a competitive school program that focuses on and promotes students' success
? Value and respond to students and their families concerns and needs
? Ensure equal opportunities among students. Prioritize based on set strategies and principles
? Serve as an advisor to students, answer their questions, and assist in the selection of courses
? Participate in administering achievement tests, ACT, SAT, PSAT, ASVAB, and other tests as needed
? Assist students in making educational and/or career decisions by assessing the students' interests, abilities, and preparation
? Assists students with educational planning by providing information on educational programs available, admission requirements, application procedures, required tests, deadline dates, and financial aid
? Participates in conferences/meetings for special education
? Maintains and provides records and reports
? Conduct a freshman academy for students and parents
? Completes other reasonable duties as assigned during the normal day/year or in case of emergencies.
? Provide counseling to students who are experiencing problems in their relationships with others; assist students with the development of personal decision-making competencies, a positive self-image, a desire for personal growth, and a concern for others.
? Assist students in making educational and/or career decisions by assessing the students' interests, abilities, and preparation.
? Listen to students; concerns about academic, emotional or social problems
? Help students process their problems and plan goals and actions
? Mediate conflict between students and teachers
? Improve parent-teacher relationship
? Assist with implementation of Conscious Discipline, PBIS, and SEL
? Organize peer counseling programs
Qualifications
Must have 5+ years of experience in Education. A B.S. in Psychology is a PLUS.
Salary/Benefits
Salary starts at $50,000
