In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:

  • Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

  • Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.

  • Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).

  • Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.

  • A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.

  • Federal Work Study student may apply.

  • In good disciplinary standing.

  • Must be located in the U.S.

The Student Success Assistant is a part-time undergraduate student employee role within Berklee’s Student Success Center. This position serves as both the frontline point of contact for students visiting the Center and a key administrative support resource for full-time staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Frontline Navigation Desk: 

  • Warmly welcome and proactively greet all students, staff, and visitors as they enter the Student Success Center, serving as the primary first point of contact. 
  • Sign students in for appointments, drop-in sessions, and information sessions; personally guide them to gathering spaces when needed. 
  • Provide peer-to-peer navigation by helping students identify and seek out appropriate campus resources, directing them to online resources when applicable. 
  • Develop a working knowledge of each Student Success department, including staff roles and how they serve students. 
  • Perform daily opening and closing functions and complete office tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 

Administrative & Supervisory Support: 

  • Assist in creating weekly briefs that include drop-in hours, reminders, and important notes for the week usingBerklee.educalendars 
  • Collaborate with a team of other undergraduate part-time Student Success Assistants to provide support to the Success Center. 
  • Maintain inventory of office supplies, the break room area, and the student snack station. 
  • Provide backup support at the Navigation Desk during peak periods.

Required Skills and Knowledge: 

  • Strong customer service skills, or a genuine desire to develop them.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities during peak periods.
  • Strong organization and communication skills. 
  • Basic proficiency with technology and software applications. 
  • Adaptable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Expected Hours Per Week: 5-10 

Expected Dates and Times of Shifts: Monday-Friday depending on class schedule and extracurriculars

  • Summer 2026 – May 15, 2026 through August 20, 2026 
  • Fall 2026 – August 21, 2026 through December 17, 2026

Hourly Rate: $16.45
