    Description:

Position Summary: Texas College seeks a highly responsive and student-centered Student Success Case Manager & Advocate to support students experiencing barriers that may interfere with their enrollment, academic progress, persistence, or overall success. The Case Manager will serve as a central point of contact for students navigating complex or multiple challenges and will work across the College to help move those challenges toward resolution. Rather than simply referring students from one office to another, the Case Manager will help students understand their options, connect with the appropriate institutional resources, develop an actionable plan, and follow their cases through resolution. The position will work closely with the Director of Student Services, Student Success Counselors, Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Business Office, Registrar, Residence Life, Athletics, faculty, and other campus partners as part of Texas College's coordinated student-success and early-intervention efforts.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Student Care & Case Management •\tManage an assigned caseload of students experiencing academic, financial, attendance, personal, housing, technology, registration, or other barriers to persistence. •\tConduct proactive outreach to students identified through attendance concerns, faculty referrals, academic performance, financial-clearance issues, student-success alerts, or other institutional indicators. •\tMeet individually with students to identify barriers and develop clear, achievable action plans. •\tProvide individualized assistance, advocacy, resource navigation, and follow-up. •\tMaintain regular contact with students until concerns are resolved, appropriately transferred, or otherwise closed. •\tAssist students returning after stop-out, withdrawal, financial interruption, or other enrollment disruption. Early Intervention & Student Success •\tParticipate actively in the College's Student Success Network and coordinated early-intervention processes. •\tReceive and respond to student concerns and referrals from faculty, staff, administrators, students, and other appropriate sources. •\tIdentify students who may be at risk of stopping out and initiate timely intervention. •\tSupport re-registration and enrollment-recovery initiatives for students whose enrollment has been interrupted. •\tConduct outreach to students with attendance, academic-progress, or engagement concerns. •\tWork with students on academic plans and connect them with appropriate academic support. •\tAssist first-time students and other priority populations with navigating institutional expectations and resources.

Cross-Campus Coordination & Advocacy •\tCoordinate student cases involving multiple offices rather than requiring students to independently navigate institutional processes. •\tWork collaboratively with Academic Affairs, Financial Aid, Business Office, Registrar, Residence Life, Athletics, IT, and other areas to resolve student barriers. •\tFacilitate effective handoffs between offices while maintaining appropriate follow-up with the student. •\tEscalate unresolved institutional barriers to appropriate leadership. •\tCommunicate appropriately with parents, guardians, emergency contacts, or other designated individuals when authorized or otherwise permitted.

Documentation & Accountability •\tDocument student contacts, referrals, interventions, action plans, follow-up activities, and outcomes in the College's designated student case-management system. •\tMaintain accurate and timely case notes and protect the confidentiality of student information. •\tMonitor open cases and ensure required follow-up occurs. •\tUse case-management information to identify recurring barriers, service gaps, and institutional processes affecting student persistence. •\tPrepare regular reports on caseload, interventions, outcomes, and emerging student-success trends.

Outreach & Education •\tProvide workshops and presentations for students related to college navigation, academic success, persistence, help-seeking, and available resources. •\tEducate faculty and staff regarding student-success referral and intervention processes. •\tParticipate in orientation, registration, retention, re-registration, and other student-success initiatives. •\tAssist with developing procedures, communication strategies, and resources that strengthen the College's coordinated approach to student support.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: •\tBachelor's degree from an accredited institution. •\tAt least two years of professional experience in higher education, student services, academic advising, enrollment management, case management, counseling, retention, or a related student-support environment. •\tDemonstrated ability to develop effective relationships with college students. •\tStrong written, verbal, interpersonal, and organizational skills. •\tAbility to manage multiple student cases and competing priorities simultaneously. •\tDemonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational and departmental boundaries. •\tAbility to exercise sound judgment with sensitive and confidential student matters. •\tProficiency with student information systems, case-management systems, databases, spreadsheets, and other technology used to document and monitor student progress. •\tAbility to work occasional evenings or weekends during critical enrollment and student-support periods.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS; •\tMaster's degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, Education, or a related field. •\tExperience with student case management, early-alert systems, academic advising, retention, or student advocacy. •\tExperience supporting first-generation, Pell-eligible, academically at-risk, or other student populations that may encounter barriers to persistence. •\tExperience working with multidisciplinary student-support teams. •\tExperience using data and student-success indicators to identify students requiring intervention. •\tExperience with Maxient or another student case-management platform is desirable.
