Founded in 2005, Einstein Charter Schools is a top-performing, tuition-free, open-admissions network serving students in New Orleans East.

Beginning in the 2026-27 school year, Einstein will operate as a unified school serving students in grades Pre-K-8 through the consolidation of Village de l'Est, Sherwood Forest, and Einstein Middle School. This unified model is designed to strengthen alignment across campuses, enhance student support, and provide a seamless educational experience from early childhood through middle school.

Position Overview

The Student Success Coordinator (School Culture) works closely with the Head of School and leadership team to cultivate a safe, positive, and student-centered school culture that supports academic success and social-emotional development.

This role provides proactive leadership in supporting students, teachers, and families to ensure the consistent implementation of school culture systems, including PBIS, restorative practices, and behavioral interventions. The Student Success Coordinator works collaboratively with school leadership, teachers, the social worker, counselor, nurse, staff, students, and families to maintain a positive and productive learning environment.

The Student Success Coordinator also supports students in developing positive behavior habits aligned with the school's core values: Students are Safe, Respectful, Responsible, and Ready to Learn.

Reports to: Head of School and/or designee

Key Responsibilities

School Culture & Student Support

• Promote and sustain a positive school culture aligned with Einstein's mission and values.
• Support students in developing positive behavior habits and internalizing school values: safe, respectful, responsible, and ready to learn.
• Work closely with students to support positive decision-making and behavior choices.
• Proactively circulate throughout classrooms, hallways, and common areas to reinforce expectations and maintain a safe learning environment.
• Supervise key transitions including breakfast, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and hallway transitions.

Behavior Systems & Intervention

• Supervise the consistent and fair administration of student discipline policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate discipline documentation using Form A, ECS Behavior Tracker, and Readmit Calendar.
• Support teachers with the consistent implementation of PBIS systems and consequence progression.
• Conduct student readmission meetings and develop Student Transition Plans (STP contracts).
• Coordinate with the Reset Team to investigate and document behavior incidents.
• Assist in supervising In-School Suspension (ISS) and Reset Room operations.

Collaboration & Staff Support

• Collaborate with teachers to strengthen classroom management and behavior support strategies.
• Facilitate professional development and coaching related to school culture, PBIS implementation, and behavior support practices.
• Work closely with the Head of School and leadership team to monitor school culture data and implement improvement strategies.

Family & Community Engagement

• Serve as a liaison between the school and families regarding student behavior and expectations.
• Facilitate parent meetings and support parent engagement related to student success.
• Reinforce school policies related to discipline, dress code, attendance, and academic expectations.
• Meet with families who require immediate administrative support regarding student concerns.

Student Wellness & Restorative Practices

• Collaborate with the School Social Worker, counselor, and support staff to address student needs.
• Support conflict resolution through restorative practices and mediation.
• Assist in responding to student crises and supporting students experiencing social-emotional challenges.
• Work with the Social Worker to maintain truancy documentation and due process procedures.

School Environment & Operations

• Ensure the physical environment reinforces school culture, including signage, bulletin boards, and visual displays of school values.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication with all stakeholders regarding student behavior incidents.
• Assist the Head of School with additional administrative duties as needed.

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience working with children or youth in education, counseling, mentoring, or youth development programs.
• Education and Experience - Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts and de-escalate challenging situations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with students, families, and staff.
• Ability to remain calm, organized, and solution-oriented in high-pressure situations.
• Demonstrated success in building relationships with students and families.
• Commitment to the mission and academic philosophy of Einstein Charter Schools.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff and leadership to support student success.
• Experience with PBIS, restorative practices, or school culture systems preferred.

Evaluation

Performance will be evaluated annually by the Head of School and will include:

• Analysis of student discipline and behavior data
• Contribution to school culture and climate goals
• Effectiveness in supporting students, staff, and families

Compensation is commensurate with experience
