Student Success Coordinator - Ironwood Campus The Student Success Coordinator will provide college -wide leadership and direction for all student success and engagement programming. The starting salary for this position will be $54,017 (Grade 5/Initial step) . The successful candidate will be a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal and organizational skills and will bring initiative, creativity, and ability to connect with prospective students and parents as well as the capacity to develop good rapport with faculty, sta ff, and students, and enjoy working with diverse populations. The coordinator determines the needs of the ACES Center , managing a comprehensive program of academic support, tutoring , and learning assistance services to increase retention and overall student success . Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Develop and annually renew a long -range plan for a comprehensive learning support system that includes intake assessment, orientation, tutoring, and the ACES learning support center. • Instructing and assessing COL 100: College Career and Readiness. • Travel to area high schools and intermediate school district to present and recruit students. • Create and administer Orientation programming both in -person and o nline to include federally mandated training , as well as present in -person. • Serve as a Student Success academic advisor , including interpreting placement results, developing student academic plan s, monitoring student progress and providing career and transfer guidance. • Manage a comprehensive tutoring p rogram including in -person, remote, and online options - hiring, training, and evaluating tutors, preparing and administering budgets, and working with online support vendors. • Initiate and c oordinate student engagement programming on campus. • Serve on applicable college committees , including Student Appeals, and Enrollment Management. • Develop annual evaluation processes for all success and engagement programming , including co -curricular assessment . • Build and m aintain vital relationships with Academic Services , Faculty, Division Chairpersons , and relevant high school personnel. • Perform other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: • Broad -based working knowledge of both academic and technical subject areas. • Documented experience in student support services and retention proce sses. • Experience in collegiate student engagement practices. • Knowledge of assessment tools and methods. • Proven ability to work effectively with students at all skill levels. • Ability to work harmoniously with college administrators, faculty, and staff. • Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills including experience with FERPA. • Demonstrate effective computer skills for data collection and reporting. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in Human Services, Education, Psychology, Social Work or related field. • Background in student services in higher education or similar educational setting. • Demonstrated experience in admissions, financial aid, and/or academic advising. Preferred Qualifications: • Master's degree preferred . • Experienc e and understanding of academic advising processes and procedures . This experience should be within a collegiate environment. • Experience managing and organizing student engagement programs.
