The Part-Time Program Coordinator supports Roosevelt University's TRIO Student Support Services (SSS STEM & Regular) programs by coordinating student programming, workshops, tutoring and peer mentoring initiatives, student outreach, and data management efforts. This role supports low-income, first-generation, and/or students with disabilities while fostering a student-centered and inclusive environment focused on persistence, retention, and graduation.
The coordinator will assist with student engagement initiatives, program logistics, recruitment and intake processes, compliance tracking, and database management to support federal TRIO grant objectives.
The salary for this part-time position is $29-$32 per hour commensurate with experience.
Please note that this is a 100% grant funded position (contingent on U.S. Department of Education funding and continuation of the grant)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
- Bachelor's degree in Counseling, Education, Student Affairs, Social Work, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in academic advising, coaching, mentoring, teaching, student services, program coordination, or related higher education support.
- Experience working with low-income, first-generation students and/or students with disabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn database systems such as LACAI.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive student information.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated empathy, cultural awareness, and commitment to student success.

Duty and Responsibility
Student Programming, Workshops & Retention Initiatives:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of signature events, including Welcome Day, Recognition Ceremony, enrichment activities, and student engagement initiatives.
- Support the planning, execution, and assessment of Fall and Spring semester workshops, summer melt initiatives, and retention-focused programming.
- Coordinate workshop logistics, scheduling, attendance tracking, and program support.
- Collaborate with campus and community partners to enhance program offerings and student success initiatives.
- Provide administrative and operational support during TRIO events and activities.
Percentage Of Time 45 Duty and Responsibility
Data Management, Compliance & Reporting:
- Accurately input and maintain student and program data within the LACAI database and other program tracking systems.
- Review and verify data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Maintain attendance, participation, and program activity records to support continuous improvement and federal reporting requirements.
- Identify and correct data entry errors and inconsistencies.
- Support internal reporting and monitoring of grant benchmarks and objectives.
- Maintain secure and confidential student records in compliance with FERPA, TRIO, and institutional guidelines.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure data consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Perform additional administrative and program support duties as assigned.

Academic Support Services (Tutoring & Peer Mentoring:
- Coordinate logistics for tutoring and peer mentoring sessions.
- Track student participation, usage, and student worker time and effort.
- Support academic skill-building initiatives and student success programming.
Percentage Of Time 15 Duty and Responsibility
Recruitment, Outreach & Student Intake:
- Assist in recruiting eligible students through outreach events, presentations, and partnerships.
- Support application review, intake, orientation, onboarding, and interview processes.
- Review student documentation for eligibility and support completion of Individual Student Plans (ISPs).
- Collaborate with campus departments to support referrals and intake processes.
