The pay range for each role reflects Rush's anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.\n \nSummary:\n \nThe Summer Research Fellowships are offered on a competitive basis to students enrolled at Rush University between the first and second years to work on research projects with Rush faculty in basic science, clinical research, and community service arenas. Students accepted in the program are provided a paid position to work full-time during the summer before the second year of medical school. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.\n \nJob Qualifications:\n\n A Bachelor's Degree or higher is required\n Currently enrolled as a student at Rush Medical College is required.\n Must be in good academic standing as reported by the Office of Integrated Medical Education.\n Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail preferred.\n Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate in a professional manner.\n Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, set goals, manage complicated tasks, and work with minimal supervision.\n Demonstrate professionalism in dealing with confidential information.\n This position may require some evenings and weekends.\n Must complete all HR hiring requirements in a timely matter and a physical.\n \nResponsibilities:\n\n Responsible for their approved research study overseen by a principal investigator.\n Responsible for all data collection and recording for their study.\n Maintains research records and documents relating to their study.\n May need to work with the principal investigator(s) to recruit patients for studies, including study advertisements and marketing in line with Rush policies and procedures.\n Ensure compliance with protocol guidelines and requirements of regulatory agencies.\n May need to confer with study participants to explain purpose of the study.\n Must complete and maintain all documentation and reporting of adverse events. Recommend corrective action as appropriate.\n Responsible for oral or written reports to both the study sponsor and program faculty director.\n May need to work with principal investigator on IRB, ACUC, filing and compliance.\n Coordinate the development of forms, questionnaires for the application of research techniques.
