The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is seeking an energetic, patient, and friendly part-time school year Student Supervisor/School Aide to join our team. The successful candidate will provide support during lunch and recess and assist teachers with student management and project work for the classroom.

The Trevor-Wilmot Consolidated Grade School District is located in Southeast Wisconsin and serves approximately 460 students in the Trevor and Wilmot communities from grades 4K through 8th grade. All candidates must successfully complete/pass a criminal background check and physical.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Job:

Work effectively with teachers, supervisors, and peers

Maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records

Communicate effectively verbally and in writing

Follow written and oral instructions

Supervise students in the cafeteria during lunch and on the playground during recess.

Must be willing and able to support student's developmental and social needs, acknowledge positive behavior, redirect without conflict and apply restorative responses when needed in both the cafeteria and recess areas (gym or outside).

You will also be expected to interact with all students in various ways

Learn, understand and apply school systems involved with efficient lunch time operations

Encourage prosocial behavior

Serve as an appropriate model to the children

Attend staff meetings

Develop and maintain a positive relationship with the children, their families, and volunteers: ensure that all feel welcome.

Skill & Qualifications:

Learn and understand the school systems involved in efficient lunch and recess time operations

Be caring, patient, and understanding of children

Implement the stewardship of the cafeteria

Time-management and multitasking abilities

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Work is generally active, requiring routine walking, standing, bending

Ability to lift up to 25 lbs

Education and Experience Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience with children preferred

Hours: 10:30 am to 1:30 pm Monday-Friday

Job Type: Part-time School year: This is a school-year position that follows the student academic calendar approximately 170 paid days, from the last week of August to early June. Please note there are no work hours when school is closed for breaks.

Pay: $15.50 per hour
