Teaching Aide Standardized Patients Program

Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00

Responsibilities:

• Working with individual students as instructional support
• Completing relevant documentation
• Engaging with students as defined by training materials and direct instruction.
• Bringing any issue or concerns to the attention of staff
• Attending all required training (two scheduled, four-hour sessions) with academic staff and scheduled event days (two, four-and-a-half sessions) with students and staff
• Assisting program staff with tasks and evaluations
• Submitting all documents to staff as directed daily
• Simulating emotional and physical aspects of a real patient as an instrument of the instruction process
• Acting as an interpreter as needed

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University

• High proficiency in spoken and written Spanish

• No schedule conflicts with required course attendance, exams, or major assignments limiting your availability to commit to required dates. (Participation in this job does not constitute an excused absence.)
