Under direct supervision of the Technology Coordinator or other assigned Manage: plan, direct, organize, and supervise the Technology Department; assist in the development of school policies, procedures, and goals; interpret and apply existing policies; present Technology info on issues concerning the various programs managed at Corliss STEM. Job Summary: This student employee position will be compensated for time worked in the form of two stipends to be paid at the midpoint (March 7, 2025,) and the end (April 18, 2025) of the work period. The work schedule for this role will consist of an estimated 6 hours per week - 1.5 hrs/day after school hours for 4 days per week for an anticipated period of 10 weeks beginning February 3, 2025, and ending April 18, 2025. The Student Technology Team will complete duties such as the following:
Assist and coordinate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the information technology department. Assure and implement a strong commitment to student service; monitor and manage departmental tech needs. Assist and coordinate with the preparation of operating student testing. Assist and coordinate resource allocation planning and management to effectively assign work tasks to team members. Confer with other team members regarding project priorities and progress; participate in planning, progress, and design review meetings. Confer with department staff, Techco, and consultants in the accomplishment of tech objectives. Coordinate resolution of complex and technical problems and system changes that affect the work of the student team. Coordinate and conduct special assignments or projects. Perform related duties as assigned. Other duties as assigned

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Work is typically performed in an office environment; occasionally in cooled air-conditioned data center/server rooms; occasionally outside in various types of inclement weather; and occasionally in confined spaces. Create tech flyers for students to view around the building. · Maintain systemsMaintain Chromebook data systems used by students. · Ensure alignmentHelp Techco make sure technology aligns with the goals of the organization, and with the districts strategic plan · Monitor researchStay up to date with current research and trends in technology education To qualify for this student worker position, candidates must be actively enrolled as a CPS student, attending Corliss Early College STEM High School, in good standing, and completing their junior or senior year. A valid work permit will be required for students under the age of 16.
