JOB DESCRIPTION

Undergraduate Tutor 1 for Nursing

Hourly Pay Rate: $13.00 - $25.00

The Undergraduate Tutor 1 will support the department/organization in various administrative and operational tasks by tutoring a student or groups of students.

Responsibilities:

• Completing a brief, electronic form to document tutee participation and progress after tutoring sessions
• Arriving on time for scheduled sessions and leading sessions
• Maintaining confidentiality
• Exchanging contact information with all assigned tutees and notify tutees if sessions need to be cancelled or rescheduled
• Being knowledgeable in the subject matter that is being taught/tutored
• Tutoring individuals in subject(s)

Qualifications:

• Active enrollment as a student at Tulane University
• A Federal Work Study Award (potentially)
• A required grade in a prior class or coursework (potentially)
