Requirements / Qualifications
A candidate may meet criteria from this area in one of the following ways: 1. Education Pathway Requirement: Associate's degree (or higher) from a California Community College with coursework or degrees in social work, human services, addiction studies required. Candidates must also complete a minimum of 400 hours of experience acquired through field experience, practicum related to the degree, academic internships or relevant work experience (applicants may be permitted to complete remaining hours during employment). 2. Workforce Pathway Requirement: Associate's degree (or higher)from an accredited U.S. community college with coursework or degrees in social work, human services, addiction studies, child development, early intervention, psychology or sociology required. Professionally, candidates must have acquired a minimum of 1000 hours of experience within the last two years acquired by providing services in relevant fields of social work, substance use prevention/intervention, child welfare and/or mental health.
Resume, letter of introduction, unofficial transcript and three letters of recommendation written within the last three years are required.
