The Goodman-Luskin Microbiome Center at the Department of Medicine is seeking a Student Worker 3 to join its Neuroimaging Core and support cutting-edge brain imaging research. In this role, you will assist with the preprocessing and quality control of multi-modal neuroimaging data, helping ensure the accuracy, consistency, and timely availability of datasets that support ongoing research initiatives. This position is ideal for a student interested in neuroscience, data science, or biomedical research, offering hands-on experience with neuroimaging workflows through structured training and established protocols while contributing to impactful, multidisciplinary research.

Hourly range: $19.20-$41.00

  • Ability to pay close attention to detail and a habit of double-checking work.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Prior experience with Linux, and at least one programming language.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as in a team-oriented environment.
  • Reliable.
  • Prior experience with code such as MATLAB, R, or Python.
  • Prior experience with Bash, MySQl or SSH.
  • Registered as a UCLA student
