Position Title: STUDENT WORKER

Responsible To: Program Director

Basic Function: Perform general light duties as assigned as a part of his/her high school program.

Performance Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the diagnosis and repair of district vehicular equipment.
  1. Assist Mechanic in maintenance of a current inventory of supplies and equipment.
  1. Assist Mechanic in establishing an efficient and effective system of routine maintenance and repair.
  1. Assist Mechanic in maintaining a record of all maintenance and repair work.
  1. Maintain high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work connected areas.
  1. Complie with Federal, state and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines (OSHA).
  1. Report all conditions that present safety hazards immediately to Program Director.
  1. Perform related duties as assigned.


Knowledge of:

  • General cleaning methods and materials.
  • Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
  • Basic record-keeping techniques.
  • Health and safety regulations.
Ability to:
  • Communicate and maintain effective relationships with others.
  • Print and write legibly.
  • Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated progress toward obtaining a high school diploma.


Terms of Employment:

Salary and work year to be established by the board of education.
