Position Title: STUDENT WORKER
Responsible To: Program Director
Basic Function: Perform general light duties as assigned as a part of his/her high school program.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assist in the diagnosis and repair of district vehicular equipment.
- Assist Mechanic in maintenance of a current inventory of supplies and equipment.
- Assist Mechanic in establishing an efficient and effective system of routine maintenance and repair.
- Assist Mechanic in maintaining a record of all maintenance and repair work.
- Maintain high standards of safety and good housekeeping methods in all work connected areas.
- Complie with Federal, state and local laws and regulations for the maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment and machines (OSHA).
- Report all conditions that present safety hazards immediately to Program Director.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Knowledge of:
- General cleaning methods and materials.
- Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
- Basic record-keeping techniques.
- Health and safety regulations.
Ability to:
- Communicate and maintain effective relationships with others.
- Print and write legibly.
- Understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Learn and apply safety procedures and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Demonstrated progress toward obtaining a high school diploma.
