Posting Detail Information

Job Summary Basic Function: The Mascot Team is hiring for the Skully and the spotter position. As Skully students will wear a costume and perform various activities on and off campus showing school spirit and engaging with the community.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to handle the demands of working in a full-body costume
• Comfortable performing in front of large crowds with an ability to generate crowd enthusiasm
• Have a flexible schedule to work nights and weekends
• Outgoing, dependable and organized with a willingness and desire to have fun
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Move easily with limited peripheral vision
• Successful completion of drivers license background check through High Right

Preferred Qualifications

• Drivers license

Job Duties

• Cheer for football, basketball, volleyball and other athletic events
• Attend Open house events and other special events on and off campus events
• Work with Mascot team Manager aiding with community appearances
• Assist with creative planning and execution: skits, social media videos, etc.
• Maintain and organize mascot supplies and cleanliness of costume
• Must be able to improvise and interact with fans
• Must be fun and upbeat
• Drive to and from events in University van
• Maintain clear communication with the rest of the team

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

• Ability to handle the demands of working in a full-body costume
