Position Summary & Description

We are seeking 2-3 student Research Assistants to support a project focused on recruiting companies to participate in free safety training programs. This position provides hands-on experience in outreach, organization, and program coordination. Students will assist with identifying potential companies, conducting outreach through social media and other communication channels, and supporting recruitment efforts. Additional responsibilities include helping coordinate training logistics, maintaining recruitment and training databases, and reviewing training materials.

This role is ideal for students interested in gaining practical experience in outreach, communication, data management, and applied research.

Position Qualifications

  • Background or coursework in safety, health, and environmental studies, communications, marketing, or a related field
  • Experience or interest in contacting companies through social media or other outreach methods
  • Familiarity with recruitment or outreach efforts is preferred
  • Ability to work with and manage Excel datasets
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Essential Functions

  • Identify and research potential companies using databases and online resources
  • Contact and engage prospective companies through social media and other communication channels
  • Support ongoing recruitment efforts to increase participation in safety training programs
  • Assist with outreach coordination and tracking of company responses
  • Maintain and update recruitment and training databases using Excel
  • Support training scheduling and communication with participating companies
  • Review and help organize training materials to ensure clarity and consistency
  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed
