Company ABF Freight Location Fort Smith, AR - Old Greenwood Campus Workspace On-Campus Pay Type Hourly, Part-Time Job ID 29338 Job DescriptionThe Student Worker, Trade Operations provides administrative and operational support to the Trade Operations team, with a primary focus on trade show logistics and Canadian cross-border transportation compliance. This position offers hands-on experience in transportation, customs, logistics, and freight industry while supporting critical business functions related to freight movement and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesAssist Trade Operations personnel with trade show shipment management and tracking. Monitor inbound and outbound trade show freight to ensure timely delivery and return.Assist with scheduling and coordinating freight pickups, trade show entries and deliveries.Support data entry and reporting related to trade show transportation activities.Review shipment information for accuracy and completeness prior to customs processing.Assist with commodity description reviews and edits to ensure compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.Review CCTV footage and shipment documentation to assist in identifying unmanifested cross-border freight.Research and document findings related to freight compliance investigations.Escalate compliance concerns and documentation discrepancies to Trade Operations leadership.Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned.Other duties and projects, as assigned.RequirementsEducation:Pursuing Bachelor's Degree, required.Experience:No prior experience necessaryComputer Skills:Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.Competencies:Active LearningFlexibility and AdaptabilityInitiativeInterpersonal RelationshipsManaging Multiple PrioritiesProblem SolvingRequirements Other Details Work Hours:This is a part time position that will work fewer than 30 hours per week.
