Job Description:

Purpose/Role

The student worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and inventory of practice gear, uniforms, and storage areas for the Women's Soccer team. Additional responsibilities include light administrative tasks to support the Women's Soccer staff.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Wash, dry, and store practice gear and uniforms during the week and after games.
  • Organize and maintain the Women's Soccer storage closets.
  • Create and maintain an itemized inventory list of all equipment and supplies in storage areas.
  • Perform light office tasks as needed to assist the Women's Soccer coaching staff.

Rate of Pay

$8.50 per hour. Student employees cannot work more than 20 hours per week for all positions combined, or over 10 hours in a day. Student employees are paid bi-weekly. All student employees will be paid by direct deposit.

Length of Employment

Start date varies by student. All Federal Work Study employees will be terminated on or before the last day of the Spring Semester of each academic year. Evaluations are a factor in job retention and rehire.

Evaluation Procedures

Written performance evaluations shall be completed for each student employee and discussed with the student employee, to include comments, praise, or criticism in a constructive manner. Supervisors will indicate if they wish to continue employing the student through the next semester. A copy of the evaluation form shall be maintained by the supervisor and the original copy given to the Financial Aid Office. All student employees shall be evaluated at least once a term (or at the end of an assignment).

  • Must be available and have transportation to the gym to wash and dry practice gear and uniforms, as well as assist in office work.
  • Must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress - no lower than a 2.0 GPA and retain 67% of all classes.
