The Studios & Creators Business Development Specialist will serve as a dedicated content production and creative technology industry expert working across account teams and alongside fellow industry specialists. This role drives cloud and AI adoption by identifying and developing line-of-business opportunities across studios, VFX houses, animation companies, post-production facilities, creative technology startups, and content creators worldwide. The ideal candidate brings deep entertainment and creative industry expertise, a builder mindset, and the ability to engage C-suite stakeholders with credible, outcome-driven conversations, while thriving in a highly collaborative, cross-functional environment.

Business Skills:

  • Strategic account planning and executive relationship building across global creative and entertainment markets
  • Ability to articulate business value and ROI for cloud and AI solutions in a content creation and production context
  • Strong collaboration skills across cross-functional and cross-regional teams
  • Experience with partner ecosystem development and co-selling with creative technology ISVs, SIs, and AI-first startups
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for both technical and business audiences
  • Comfort engaging line-of-business stakeholders (creative executives, heads of production, CTOs) in addition to traditional IT buyers

Cloud Knowledge:

  • Understanding of core cloud services relevant to creative and production workloads (GPU compute, storage, rendering, analytics, ML/AI, generative AI, security)
  • Hands on experience with content production workflows including VFX, animation, rendering, virtual production, and media supply chain
  • Familiarity with cloud partner ecosystems and Professional Services capabilities
  • Ability to connect customer business challenges; including AI-driven content creation, workflow modernization, and cost optimization, to cloud-based solutions

Key job responsibilities

Account Strategy & Planning:

  • Contribute studios and creators industry perspective for assigned coverage accounts
  • Partner with account teams to identify and map Line of Business (LOB) contacts and key stakeholders within studios, post-production houses, VFX facilities, creative agencies, and creative technology providers
  • Identify new opportunities across core content production areas including AI-powered content creation, cloud rendering, virtual production, media supply chain, and archive modernization

Opportunity Development & Execution:

  • Drive studios and creators opportunities with a focus on measurable business outcomes including AI-enabled innovation, accelerating production timelines, reducing rendering costs, enabling new creative capabilities
  • Collaborate with account teams and industry specialists to evangelize cloud services, generative and agentic AI capabilities, partner solutions, and Professional Services tailored to creative production use cases
  • Participate in executive engagements with C-suite stakeholders including studio heads, heads of production, chief technology officers, and creative leadership
  • Facilitate access to specialized cloud resources, solutions architects, creative tools teams, and partner capabilities across global teams
  • Support the identification and development of AI-first creative startups in partnership with Startup & Venture Capital teams, accelerating their path from startup to enterprise scale

Thought Leadership & Enablement:

  • Conduct internal enablement sessions for account teams and industry specialists on studios and creators industry trends, use cases, and cloud solutions
  • Lead external thought leadership sessions with customers and at global industry events (e.g., NAB, IBC, SIGGRAPH, Sundance)
  • Contribute to Go-to-Market packages for studios and creators customers at scale, in collaboration with regional and global teams
  • Share global market insights and success stories across the broader specialist community
  • Curate executive engagement programs, including intimate, peer-driven forums, that build trusted relationships with senior creative decision-makers

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Align with account teams to ensure consistent coverage and coordinated engagement strategies
  • Serve as a studios and creators subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to account teams
  • Contribute to planning cycles, pipeline reviews, and go-to-market initiatives
  • Collaborate with Partner teams, Solutions Architects, and Creative Tools service teams to develop joint solutions for creative production customers
  • Work cross-functionally with Amazon Prime Video & Studios, startup, and partner teams to create unified customer experiences

Global Market Development:

  • Develop deep understanding of the creative production regulatory and commercial landscape across key global markets, including content security (TPN/MPA), labor agreements, and IP considerations
  • Identify global trends, competitive dynamics, and market opportunities specific to studios and creators
  • Build partner ecosystem relationships with creative technology ISVs (rendering, DCC tools, AI-first platforms), system integrators, and cloud-native production companies worldwide
  • Monitor the evolving AI landscape as it applies to content production, visual effects, and creative workflows, ensuring AWS remains the platform of choice for the next generation of creative tools and studios
