Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Sub Arc / Stick Welder to join a manufacturing team in Claremore, OK. This role is responsible for performing submerged arc welding and stick welding on large metal components while maintaining strict quality, safety, and production standards.

The ideal Sub Arc / Stick Welder has welding experience, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to produce high-quality welds in a fabrication or heavy industrial environment.
Required Experience & Skills
Experience with Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) preferred
Experience with Stick welding required
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and technical drawings
Knowledge of welding equipment, setup procedures, and welding safety practices
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Good mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform Submerged Arc (SAW) and Stick welding on metal components, including pipes, tanks, and structural assemblies
Set up, adjust, and operate welding equipment safely and efficiently
Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings
Monitor weld quality, penetration, bead appearance, and weld integrity throughout the process
Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards
Clean, prepare, and position materials before and after welding operations
Perform basic maintenance and upkeep on welding equipment
Follow all workplace safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality standards
Work with supervisors and team members to meet production goals and deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
Previous Sub Arc welding experience
Welding certifications preferred
Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, pressure vessel, or heavy industrial environments
Familiarity with welding inspection and quality control procedures
Education & Experience
High School Diploma or GED required
Welding certification preferred
Previous experience in manufacturing, fabrication, or heavy industry preferred
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work throughout the shift
Ability to lift and move materials as needed
Comfortable working around welding equipment, heat, sparks, and industrial materials
Ability to safely wear required PPE throughout the workday
