The Sub Assembly Technician is responsible for assembling intermediate product components that feed into the final assembly process. This role requires precision, consistency, and the ability to perform detailed work on specific sub-assemblies that become part of finished products.
Sub Assembly Tasks
Assemble mechanical and electrical components according to instructions
Prepare sub-assemblies for final production stages
Apply fasteners, connectors, and hardware using hand and power tools
Quality & Testing
Inspect sub-assembled units for correct fit, function, and finish
Perform basic verification testing to confirm component performance
Document inspection findings and escalate issues
Support & Collaboration
Work closely with final assembly technicians to ensure smooth workflow
Help maintain inventory of sub-assembly components
Participate in continuous improvement efforts
Workplace & Safety
Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
Follow all manufacturing procedures and quality protocols
Previous assembly or manufacturing experience preferred
Comfortable using hand tools and basic power tools
Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
Strong work ethic and ability to follow instructions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move between workstations
