Pay:$22.00 per hour + $2.00/hour Shift Differential

Position Overview

Stand-By Personnel is seeking a dependable Sub-Assembly Technician to join a heat exchanger manufacturing team in Claremore. This position is responsible for assembling components and subassemblies according to engineering specifications, production drawings, and established quality standards.

The ideal candidate has previous manufacturing or assembly experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to accurately work from blueprints while maintaining quality and productivity in a fast-paced fabrication environment.




Required Experience & Skills

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous manufacturing, fabrication, assembly, or heat exchanger production experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Familiarity with bills of materials and production specifications
• Basic understanding of measuring tools including tape measures, calipers, and micrometers
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic




Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assemble heat exchanger components including tubes, headers, frames, coils, fins, and related parts
• Follow engineering drawings, work instructions, bills of materials, and assembly specifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and assembly equipment
• Measure components and verify proper dimensions, alignment, and fit-up
• Perform visual inspections of parts and completed subassemblies for defects or nonconforming materials
• Prepare components for welding, brazing, pressure testing, or final assembly operations
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Report equipment malfunctions, quality concerns, and safety issues to supervisors
• Assist with material handling and inventory-related activities as needed
• Maintain clean and organized work areas according to 5S standards
• Support continuous improvement efforts focused on productivity and product quality
• Follow all company safety procedures, quality requirements, and production policies




Preferred Qualifications

• Previous heat exchanger manufacturing experience
• Mechanical or structural assembly experience
• Metal fabrication experience
• Experience working from detailed engineering drawings and bills of materials
• Familiarity with welding, brazing, or pressure-testing operations
• Experience using precision measuring instruments




Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Frequent bending, reaching, kneeling, lifting, and repetitive physical activity
• Manual dexterity to safely handle tools and smaller components
• Comfortable performing physically active assembly work throughout the workday
• Ability to safely work around moving equipment while wearing required PPE




Work Environment

• Industrial manufacturing and heat exchanger fabrication facility
• Exposure to production noise, heat, moving equipment, and industrial machinery
• May work near welding, brazing, machining, and pressure-testing operations
• Required PPE may include safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed footwear
• Fast-paced environment focused on safety, quality, productivity, and accurate assembly
