Job Summary
Under the direction of the Director of Preschool & Early Education Programs, the Substitute Preschool Teacher provides temporary instructional services in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. The Substitute Preschool Teacher is responsible for maintaining a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment while implementing lesson plans, classroom routines, and instructional activities that support the social, emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development of preschool-age children. Assignments may vary in length and location based on program needs and may require travel between district preschool sites.

Substitute Information Substitutes work part time and are on-call and as-needed at various locations. EDUCATION / CREDENTIALS: • AA Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field. (Required) • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, (preferred.) • Possess a current Child Development Permit. -----Site Supervisor Permit Preferred------
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: • Valid California Drivers' License • Proof of Immunization Verification (Senate Bill 792): Required immunizations; Pertussis, Whooping Cough, Measles and Influenza (flu) • Proof of TB Clearance • CPR/First Aid Certification
