    Description

    The Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team is looking for a Sub-System Launch Lead to join our team focused on ensuring all project quality targets are met, managing launch timelines & deliverables and insure the transition to quality volume production.

    Specific Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Responsible for the Convergence of vehicle issues for BCI.

    • Assembly plant issues lists and dashboards and path to their resolution. Issue delivery to the technical team and management with the respective root cause.

    • Manage part and assembly conformity for BCI, design validation and change request management for various vehicle areas.

    • Drive regular meetings and activities to ensure design conformity and plant issue resolution.

    • Track analysis activities to ensure the pace of issue recognition, define resolution pilots and drive the delivery coordination.

    • Manage escalation process with the Launch Project Manager for red KPI and their status.

    Qualifications and Skills:

    • Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/ Civil/ Aerospace) from an ABET accredited university.

    • Minimum of 8 years' experience in automotive areas of Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality and/or Product Quality.

    • Being mobile, mission that can lead to short or long-term displacements (manufacturing plants) for 6-18 months.

    • Design experience, understanding of assembly sequence and processes.

    • Conformity metrics, knowledge of metrology data analysis.

    • Dimensional management methods, Root Cause Analysis & issue solving process.

    • Knowledge in basic statistics and process control.

    • Strong understanding of GD&T concepts and documentation.

    • Self-motivated and able to meet deadlines.

    • Strong communication skills with ability to work with cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Master of Science degree (Engineering, Quality, or Business) or equivalent from an ABET accredited university.

    • Reactive Shainin or DFSS Master Black Belt.

    • Manufacturing process & launch experience is preferred.
