Secor Subaru is looking for an experienced Automotive Parts Counterperson to join our growing Parts Department. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual with strong automotive knowledge and dealership experience who can provide exceptional service to our technicians, service advisors, collision department, and retail customers.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in an automotive dealership environment and be comfortable using dealer management systems (DMS), electronic parts catalogs, inventory systems, and manufacturer resources.

What You'll Do:
  • Manage the ordering, tracking, and distribution of automotive parts for Subaru vehicles.
  • Utilize automotive dealership management systems (DMS) to process parts orders, maintain inventory accuracy, and track transactions.
  • Use electronic parts catalogs and manufacturer systems to identify the correct parts for vehicle year, make, and model.
  • Monitor incoming and outgoing parts inventory.
  • Locate unavailable parts through outside vendors and submit emergency orders when necessary.
  • Work closely with Service Advisors, Technicians, Collision Repair, and Management to ensure repair orders are completed efficiently.
  • Ensure all parts are billed accurately through the Service Department and Collision Repair Department.
  • Assist technicians by providing the correct parts needed to complete repairs.
  • Handle parts returns, including packaging and shipping parts back to manufacturers.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Support the Parts Department workflow from ordering through final sale.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Previous automotive dealership parts counter experience.
  • Experience using dealer management systems (DMS) required.
  • Knowledge of automotive parts catalogs, inventory systems, and manufacturer parts resources.
  • Automotive technician, mechanic, or hands-on vehicle repair experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and terminology.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Technical degree or automotive training preferred but not required.
  • ASE certifications are a plus but not required.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn dealership software systems.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Pre-employment background check and drug screening required.
