Subaru Service Advisor

Secor Subaru is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Service Advisor to help rebuild and grow our successful Subaru dealership. If you have dealership experience, excel at building customer relationships, and are knowledgeable in dealership management systems (DMS), we'd like to hear from you.
As a Subaru Service Advisor, you will report directly to the Subaru Service Manager and work closely with the Parts Department, Service Technicians, and fellow Service Advisors to deliver an exceptional ownership experience for every customer.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Be prepared to greet customers and begin service promptly at 7:30 AM.
- Perform a thorough walk-around inspection of every customer vehicle during write-up.
- Ensure all overnight and early morning drop-off vehicles are written up and parked before the service doors open whenever possible. If not completed, prioritize customers waiting in the service drive before processing drop-offs.
- Obtain customer signatures on all digital repair orders when the customer is present.
- Review each vehicle's complete service history and warranty coverage before preparing repair orders.
- Present alignment inspection results and recommendations to every customer.
- Review manufacturer-recommended maintenance based on vehicle mileage and educate customers on needed services.
- Complete all required Subaru web-based and instructor-led training programs.
- Remain readily available to assist customers and answer incoming phone calls throughout the day.
- Contact all special-order parts customers within 24 hours of parts arrival by phone and, when available, by email and text message.
- Verify and update customer contact information, including phone number, email address, and mailing address, at every visit.
- Coordinate with technicians and the Parts Department to ensure timely and accurate repairs.
- Maintain accurate documentation and communicate repair progress to customers.
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience that builds long-term loyalty and retention.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of automotive dealership Service Advisor experience.
- Experience using dealership management systems (DMS) such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar.
- Subaru experience is strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and perform in a fast-paced dealership environment.
- Team-oriented, dependable, and committed to providing exceptional customer care.
- Professional appearance and organized work habits.
- Must comply with all company policies and immediately report workplace incidents or accidents to management.
