Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING

This position is the Subcontract Manager Sr Staff for classified Franchise Programs within the Specialized Undersea Systems submarket segment within the Undersea Mission Systems (UMS) Market Segment. Franchise Programs is the largest program set in UMS. This on-site position, based out of Manassas, VA will be responsible for managing subcontracts, including Engineering Services and material activity on existing programs and capturing new, related business.

THE WORK•

Candidate will be responsible for leading subcontract management efforts, ensuring seamless collaboration with subcontractors, and driving results to support program objectives. Responsibilities include:

  • Managing and administering subcontracts to ensure compliance with program requirements and company policies
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to ensure subcontractor alignment and performance
  • Developing and implementing subcontract management plans, strategies, and procedures to drive program success
  • Analyzing and resolving subcontract-related issues, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements
  • Managing key metrics and performance, including material base
  • Providing support to proposal activities
  • Traveling as necessary to support business needs

Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience in Supply Chain, Material Management, or Program Management
  • Proposal Experience
  • Active Secret Security clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude
  • Earned Value and/or Control Account Management (CAM) experience
  • Engineering Services' subcontract experience
  • Proficiency with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP)
  • Experience with Procure 2 Pay (P2P)
  • Risk Management experience
  • Accountable to commitments
  • Results oriented
  • Willingness to adapt and learn
  • Strong communications, negotiations, presentation and documentation skills.
  • Ability to interface with senior management, suppliers and other external personnel on matters often requiring coordination between functional organizations.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
