Standard Job Description

Manages subordinate teams overseeing subcontractors or critical subcontracted systems for all contract types and programs, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and company policies. Directs and manages all costs, quality, schedule, financial, and technical performance requirements that are levied on the subcontractor or the product family and is required to ensure performance and support of the contract milestones of the system. Develops sourcing and subcontract program management strategic plans that address overall program capture needs, execution, and risk management. Acts as the main focal point to the subcontractor and program management office. Responsible for and directs all phases of the subcontract from initiation of the business case for make or buy decisions through requests for proposals, transition to program startup, subcontract management plans, negotiation strategy, cost accountability, program execution, and contract closeout. Makes informed decisions affecting the performance of the subcontractor. Establishes milestone objectives to manage performance to committed schedules and contractual specifications. Leads a cross-functional team, normally composed of engineers, quality, and procurement personnel, to ensure successful subcontract execution and program delivery.

Basic Qualifications

A Bachelor''s Degree from accredited college or university

background with subcontract management of cost, quality, schedule and program performance

Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)

Experience in Aerospace & Defense (A & D) Industry, driving results within a metric based environment

Demonstrated ability to collaborate across multiple functions

Desired Skills

• Experience with supply chain management or buying or procurement or related field
• Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Systems, Applications and Processes (SAP)

Sustainment Line of Buisness full life cycle experience

Experience addressing & resolving complex matters/solutions with Senior Leadership, customers & suppliers

Demonstrated organizational skills to handle multiple overlapping projects, simultaneously

Self-starter and willingness to learn

Experience in training, coaching, and mentoring new and emerging talent

Program Management or Project Management experience.

Able to think and act strategically and tactically from a broad business perspective.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $129000.00 - $239600.00
