Summary:
Our aerospace and defense client is seeking an experienced Subcontractor Program Manager to oversee supplier performance, subcontract execution, material budgets, and program requirements. This position will work onsite at a supplier facility and requires an
active Security Clearance .
Description Subcontractor Program Manager: Manage total supplier performance and develop supplier management strategies for assigned programs or portions of programs.
Oversee material budgets, subcontracts, agreements, purchase orders, material business plans, and forecasts.
Ensure supplier activities meet cost, schedule, technical, legal, and contractual requirements.
Partner with Program Management, Engineering, Operations, and Business Management to develop and execute program material budgets and schedules.
Lead and coordinate supplier program execution to ensure deliverables meet cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
Identify, mitigate, and resolve supplier risks and issues that could affect program performance.
Analyze supplier proposals with emphasis on cost, technical requirements, schedules, pricing, and contractual terms.
Review Statements of Work (SOW), technical specifications, and other key supplier requirements.
Establish negotiation objectives for major subcontracts and procured materials.
Work onsite at the supplier's facility to provide direct supplier management and program oversight.
Qualifications Subcontractor Program Manager: Active Security Clearance required. Bachelor's degree in a related field required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of the required education.
Typically 46 years of relevant experience preferred.
Program management experience preferred.
Strong supplier and subcontractor management skills.
Understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) as they apply to supplier management.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage supplier activities onsite.
Missile program or missile systems experience preferred.
Technical or Engineering degree preferred.
Higher education may substitute for relevant experience where applicable.
