The Subject Matter Expert Tax Processing Systems<\/b> provides senior -level technical leadership and deep domain expertise supporting complex, enterprise -scale tax processing environments. This role is responsible for system analysis, modernization planning, and technical execution across legacy mainframe and distributed platforms, with a strong focus on system integration, business process alignment, and large -scale application transitions.

The Subject Matter Expert<\/b> will serve as a trusted advisor for tax system architecture, modernization initiatives, and operational improvements.

Define, analyze, and document requirements for complex tax processing systems and supporting technologies
<\/p><\/li>
Lead system engineering efforts for enterprise tax processing platforms, including legacy and modernized environments
<\/p><\/li>
Provide technical direction for modernization initiatives, including transitioning applications from mainframe -based systems to enterprise integrated systems
<\/p><\/li>
Support and optimize integrated tax processing platforms, including Revenue/Government Premier solutions
<\/p><\/li>
Perform in -depth tax -related business process analysis and translate findings into technical solutions
<\/p><\/li>
Coordinate and manage system evaluations, technical recommendations, and implementation strategies
<\/p><\/li>
Provide expertise in both mainframe and distributed system architectures
<\/p><\/li>
Analyze system performance, scalability, interoperability, and data exchange standards
<\/p><\/li>
Collaborate with cross -functional technical and business stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals
<\/p><\/li>
Support operational planning, system integration, and long -term modernization roadmaps
<\/p><\/li>
Document system designs, technical processes, and analysis artifacts
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in:<\/b> Computer Science<\/b> Information Systems<\/b>

Business<\/b>
<\/b><\/p><\/li>

Minimum 7 years of general experience<\/b> in the Information Technology field
<\/p><\/li>
At least 5 years of specialized experience<\/b> directly related to the required area of expertise
<\/p><\/li>
Ability to support moderately complex to highly complex systems
<\/p><\/li><\/ul>
20 years<\/b> of experience as a senior systems engineer supporting tax processing systems
<\/p><\/li>
10 years<\/b> of system engineering experience supporting tax processing systems for state or local government environments<\/b>
<\/p><\/li>
5 years<\/b> of hands -on experience with the Revenue/Government Premier<\/b> integrated tax processing platform
<\/p><\/li>
20 years<\/b> of experience with mainframe technologies, including: IBM DB2<\/b> DML<\/b>
<\/p>
<\/b><\/p><\/li>
<\/b><\/p><\/li>
COBOL<\/b>
<\/b><\/p><\/li>
CICS<\/b>
<\/b><\/p><\/li>
SPUFI<\/b>
